“Bond……..Harper Bond” doesn’t have quite the same impact as Bond………James Bond” of 007 fame but……………
The unique talent that Harper Bond shared with Georgetown around 1900 will be revealed in a fascinating and visual presentation by Paige Sawyer followed by the viewing of this recently acquired and important acquisition to the maritime museum, the "City of Georgetown 1901" painting.
Paige Sawyer is a native South Carolinian, a Georgetown photographer, a naturalist on the Carolina Rover and an avid student of history.
He taught photography classes at Coastal Carolina in Georgetown many years before OLLI came along (Osher Lifelong Learning Institute) and through OLLI today continues the same along with offering walking and harbor history tours of Georgetown.
Paige is married to the former Susan McDaniel and they are parents of two Citadel graduates and much prouder grandparents of a ninth generation South Carolinian grandson.
