Mother’s Day weekend will kickoff the first juried Georgetown 2016 ARTWALK. Beautiful waterfront parks and quaint shops along Front Street will display a diverse selection of fine art. To round out this special weekend event, there will be local musical performers, children’s art and activities, along with great food.
The Georgetown 2016 ARTWALK, May 7th and 8th, is looking for artists who reflect our regional creative richness. Our goal is to offer quality original art in a welcoming, secure space, to all participating artists.
The juried prizewinner will receive $1000 and the People’s Choice winner will receive $500. Winners will be announced Sunday afternoon.
Artists are invited to submit 3 quality color photo prints of their art and 1 booth photo with the attached application materials. The application fee is $25. If the artist chooses to participate in the juried aspect of the ARTWALK, there will be an additional $25 fee. Juried art will be displayed in the storefronts along Front Street, while other art will be displayed outdoors, in beautiful parks along Front Street.
